Hiring an Airbnb Cleaning Service in Tempe: What They Will Ask

Before you request a turnover quote in Tempe, gather the answers a cleaning service needs: beds, laundry, timing, access, supplies, outdoor areas and pets.

A cleaning company can only quote what you describe. Before you ask any provider for a turnover price, gather the bedroom and bed count, where laundry gets done, the gap between checkout and the next check-in, how the cleaner gets inside, where supplies live, any outdoor areas, and whether pets stay. With those answers ready, the first quote lands closer to the real job and you skip a round of corrections.

Count beds, not just bedrooms

"Two bedroom" tells a cleaner very little. A sofa bed, bunk beds or an air mattress kept in a closet each change how many surfaces get stripped, remade and checked. The same goes for bathrooms: a half bath still needs a visit, and a bathroom with a soaking tub is a different task from one with a shower stall.

Write the sleeping setup the way a guest sees it on your listing, then add anything the listing leaves out. If a bed only gets made up when a large group books, say that. A cleaner who learns about the extra bed on turnover day will either miss it or ask for a change to the quote.

Say where the laundry goes

Laundry is one of the biggest variables in a turnover, and it is easy to leave out of a description. There are a few common setups, and each leads to a different question:

  • A washer and dryer inside the property: will the cleaner run loads during the visit, and can the dryer keep up with the time you have?
  • Linens taken off site: who carries them, and what happens if a bag does not come back in time?
  • A separate linen service you already use: who sets out the clean set, and who bags the used one?
  • Guest-supplied or owner-supplied towels: where are the spares kept?

Whichever applies, tell the provider before the quote, not after. If you are weighing outside laundry help, the linen and laundry service page is a starting point for what to ask about.

Give the real window and the real entry

A cleaner needs two times: when the last guest must be out and when the next one can come in. Quote the times you actually enforce, not the ones in the listing template, and mention any case where a gap is shorter than usual. Same-day turns are a different conversation from a gap of a day or more, and the provider should hear which one you mean. If you are still choosing those times, our post on check-in and check-out times covers the trade-offs.

Then describe entry in plain terms: smart lock, keypad, lockbox or a handoff from a person. You do not need to settle every detail on the first call, but the provider should know what kind of access they are planning around. The details of codes and keys are in our guide to cleaner access.

Supplies, outdoor areas and pets

Three more items sit outside most hosts' mental checklist.

Supplies. Say where cleaning supplies and guest consumables are stored, and whether the cleaner is expected to bring their own or use yours. Also say who notices when paper goods or soap are running low and how that gets reported.

Outdoor areas. A patio, balcony, grill or hot tub is not automatically part of an indoor clean. List each one and ask whether it is included, extra or not offered. Do not assume a yes.

Pets. If pets are allowed, say so, and mention whether the property has had pet stays before. A cleaner can only plan for hair, odor checks or a yard if they know it is a possibility. If a guest has an allergy request, flag that as well.

Using the Tempe base in your enquiry

Western Cleaning Solutions is based in Tempe, AZ, and the site lists Tempe, Chandler and Gilbert as areas it serves. If your rental is in Tempe, you are describing a property in the same city as the provider's base. If it is in Chandler or Gilbert, say so in your first message and give the full address. A listed area is a place to start the conversation, not a commitment to any schedule or time slot, so ask directly whether your property and your checkout windows are workable.

The site also has separate pages for short-term rental cleaning, linen and laundry, and restocking supplies. Treat those as topics to raise, not confirmation of what is bundled for you. Ask which of them apply to your property, and whether each is part of the quote or priced separately. If cost is your main question, the answer on turnover cleaning cost frames what to ask without putting a number on it.

A short list to send with your first message

  • Full address and property type (house, condo, casita, apartment).
  • Bedrooms, bathrooms and the number and type of beds.
  • Laundry plan: on site, off site or a linen service.
  • Checkout and check-in times, plus how often the gap is short.
  • Access method and who holds the codes or keys.
  • Where supplies and spare linens are stored.
  • Outdoor spaces and anything extra, such as a grill or spa.
  • Pet policy and any recent pet stays.
  • Anything a guest has complained about, such as odor, dust or a stubborn stain.

When you have these written down, use the contact page to send them in one message. Ask the provider to repeat back what the quote covers and what it leaves out, so you can compare it with any other quote on the same terms.
